IT'S ABOUT TIME...a Presidential candidate gave a speech on faith and freedom in this country. If you are a Conservative and a regular Townhall reader, you owe it to yourself to read and/or listen to Mitt Romney's speech on Thursday, 12/6. Before this speech I had already decided to vote for Romney in the Primary, but now I am more sure than ever, that I have made the right choice. I had doubts about him especially after Gregg Jackson's scathing article appeared in Townhall.com a few weeks ago, but I am convinced that the man is the right choice and that Gregg Jackson is wrong. I think the leftists in the Main Stream Media are incorrect in their assessment that "he only mentioned the word 'Mormon' once" or "he didn't include atheists". Hello...the speech wasn't about ATHEISTS, it was about FAITH IN GOD, and how we as a free people in a free nation are FREE TO WORSHIP GOD AS WE BELIEVE.
This is the man we have been waiting for, Conservatives. We have been pining for a strong man of conviction, who is a man of faith and a strong believer of freedom of Religion in this country. This is the man who spoke about the FOUNDATION OF OUR COUNTRY -- HOW THIS GREAT COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON FREEDOM OF RELIGION. This is the man who can beat the Democrat nominee, whoever that is. This is the man who can push back the creep and scourge of Socialism that the Democrats have so misguidedly embraced. This is the man that can bring back that feeling of pride in being an American...that Ronald Reagan-like feeling.
Other candidates just don't have it -- the charisma, the articulate speech, the strong family values, the proven fiscal Conservatism that Mitt Romney has. This man is the whole package. He is the right choice. He's not perfect, but he's a better choice than Rudy, Huckabee, or even Fred Thompson (who I thought was the Conservative choice, but has been a disappointment). Mitt Romney is our man, and hopefully, the choice for the next Republican President.
