Hi all! It's been a while since I posted a blog here, because I've been in quite a funk lately, with "The One" winning the election and pushing more and more spending down our throats -- then making whiney excuses like "George Bush started it!" Yes, he did and we Conservatives didn't like it either -- but is that an excuse TO MAKE IT EXPONENTIALLY WORSE? To digress a bit, here's my thought on the whole Stimulus I that passed October of 2008: If John McCain would have had balls and GONE AGAINST ALL THE SPENDING IN THE STIMULUS BILL, cementing his reputation as (at least) a fiscal conservative that NEVER has had ONE DIME in earmarks, I predict he would have won. Sarah Palin would have gone along with his fighting spirit, and America would have rallied against all the stimulus spending that was proposed by President Bush and pushed by Congress. But that didn't happen -- McCain wimped-out and lost. All I can say now is that it must have been God's will. John McCain just wasn't strong enough of a fighter to fight against the Media and Democrat machine. Remember, he just wants to be liked by them.
Which brings me to the real theme of my blog, Conservative Resergence.
After the devestating loss on November 4, 2008 I thought that Conservatives would spend years in the wilderness, licking their wounds, but only 3 months into president Oblabla's term, I see real signs of a REAL CONSERVATIVE RESERGENCE.
Sign #1: The continuous decline of the Lefty media, ala NY Times, MSNBC, CNN, and all major networks along with the increasing audience of Rush Limbaugh and FOX News.
Sign #2: The Tea Parties, which began on Feb. 27th, and continued with 800 protests on a single day -- April 15th. Not just the existance of the tea parties, but the Left being angry and dismissive about them, and then ridiculing them by calling tea party protests "tea bagging". As GunnyG on here quotes a great man, "First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win." Hey, we're already at the "ridicule you" stage. All we have to persevere through is the "fight you" stage, until we WIN!
Sign #3: The continuing support of the LIONESS of Conservatism -- Sarah Palin. Her Facebook page has over 500,000 members. Team Sarah, of which I am a part of (and have been since early Sept. 2008) has over 68,000 members. She is a conservative force to be reconned with -- if this isn't true, then why don't the Lefties just leave her alone? Why has she had to set up a legal defense fund to fight frivilous lawsuits that have her legal bills up over $500,000.00? These are lawsuits that have ONLY cropped up AFTER August 29, 2008 when John McCain announced her as his runningmate. I'm not sure where she will decide to go in politics, but we who are supporters of her WANT her to run for President.
Sign #4: The National Republican Council for a New America -- or whatever it's called. Just the existance of this travelling roadshow, shows me that Republicans want to pretend to listen to the people -- but if they listened, they would have fought harder against the massive spending and fraud with all this stimulus money and TARP money. Just the creation of this committee, with Eric Cantor, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush and McCain (YUCK) tells me that they're trying to tap into the anger over the fiscal irresponsibility in Washington. I say, too little, too late losers. If you take some advice from Sarah, MAYBE we'll listen to you -- and by the way,
stop dismissing her as irrelevant. It's you who are irrelevant with your wimpy ways. We want a lioness in our corner, fighting for fiscal responsibility and common sense.
Right now, those are the positive signs I see of a Conservative resergence, with Sarah Palin, Mike Pence, Jim DeMint, Pete Hoekstra, and a few others in government that GET IT. Oh, and let's not leave out Rick Perry in Texas, who is standing up for the 10th Amendment. How I wish right now that I lived in Texas instead of Lefty Wisconsin. (Not to worry, Wisconsinites, the 2010 Conservative for Governor, Scott Walker, is one of us. I've met him and support him wholeheartedly.)
Keep fighting, keep praying. We Conservatives are Right, and we will WIN AGAIN.
